The bath panel had seen better days Lift would have been helpful
We expected a luxurious 4 star hotel and were very disappointed. Rooms were noisy, the hotel was an average business style hotel and the spa facilities were not open for families for much of the time. I also picked up food poisoning during my stay. Not to be recommended.
It was not anything like the description on any website suggested as it was far from 4 star in any area.
I found the staff atTankersley Manor to be friendly and helpful. The hotel has a calm and tranquil atmosphere, perfect for a break away from it all!! I loved the swimming pool and spa pool. there were lots of other treatments available too, even though it was just after Christmas. i felt restyed and relaxed following my stay at the hotel.
Comfortable but large hotel. We stayed as guests at a wedding and staff ensured everything ran smoothly. Very obliging. Breakfast excellent.
We wer attending at a wedding there so it was very convenient !
Great staff, good leisure facilities, food really good, plus close to where I was working.
The breakfast was great, hotel comfortable and cosy and staff helpful and friendly. The only downfall was we only stayed one night which was a shame
the standard of facilities in the hotel were excellent
The building was lovely and very comfortable surroundings. Good size bedrooms and nice facilities
Staff were very friendly, rooms spacious and clean, great bar area.
Located within 5 mins off the M1 motorway the hotel and its staff deliver a peaceful and restful ambience as that of a country manor
We had a thoroughly enjoyable time, relaxed as it should be
Breakfasts where very substanial the room we stayed in was very clean & tidy, the Gym and pool facilites was just what we were looking for and all staff very helpful.
The hotel was comfortable and the staff welcoming and helpful.
Better signage from the road would be helpful - I overshot the entrance.
The hotel is lovely. I've stayed there before as I have relations living in Hoyland. The rooms/decor/food are all first rate. I cant fault the hotel apart from the following "complaint".
It was very nice but the room situation left a lot to be desired. I'd booked 4 rooms and asked for them to be near eachother, particularly my room and that of my mother because she's disabled. I rang the hotel the week before to check and the lady I spoke to said the rooms "are all adjoining eachother" which was perfect. However, when we checked it it turned out that my mother was on the first floor, as was my nephew and his family, but they were about 8/9 rooms apart. My sister and I were on the ground floor. I said it wasnt acceptable for mum to be so far away from another family member as she uses a wheelchair and cant walk by herself but the girl said that was all that was available. I said there was no way we could have mum so far from us especially when I'd been told all our rooms were next to eachother, and eventually the girl said they could swap mum's room in the morning. They did that, and put mum in a disabled room with a walk in shower which was great, but she was still a trek away from the rest of us so if she'd fallen or been taken ill she couldnt have shouted to us for help. I was cross about the room situation as the weekend away was a treat for mum as my father died two months ago and mum's recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. The room put a dampner on our first day. Apart from that everything was fine; the rooms and food were lovely. I'm a member of your Breakaway Club and have booked a break at the Cambridge Belfry for 3 days end Sept/beg Oct. I hope all goes to plan then.
